As prehistory of the Symposium on Automated Systems and Technologies, Workshop "Distributed Intelligent Systems and Technologies" was held already 6 times in Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University in cooperation with Leibniz Universität Hannover. Since 2014 Workshop covers wider thematic area, and thus has a status of symposium and the name of "Automated Systems and Technologies".
